spokane, WA

Designer: Harken Interiors | Purchaser: Absolute Procurement| Scope: Public Area Seating

Named for Louie Davenport — the entrepreneur behind Spokane's most iconic hospitality legacy — The Louie carries that history forward in a lobby that's layered, warm, and designed to be lived in throughout the day.

We partnered with Harken Interiors to manufacture the custom seating program across the hotel's public spaces: barrel lounge chairs, swivel club chairs, curved sectionals, dining chairs, ottomans, and a dramatic custom banquette — each piece built to the design team's specifications and intent.

The design philosophy behind it:

"Each piece of furniture was intentionally designed to feel generational and collected. With warm, rich wood tones and timeless detailing, the lobby welcomes you in like a beautifully curated home." - Harken Interiors

The palette runs bold — terracotta velvet, sage boucle, warm tan leather, rich pattern — a deliberate contrast to the elegance of the architecture. And then there's the curved sectional: faux tufts, contrasting floral fabric trim, built to honor Louie Davenport's wife. That kind of detail is exactly what makes a project worth remembering.

The Inn at Cape Kiwanda

PACIFIC CITY, OR

Designer: EDG Design | Purchaser: Noble House & Resorts | Scope: Guestroom Casegoods and Seating

Perched above the Pacific in Pacific City, Oregon, the Inn at Cape Kiwanda is a boutique coastal retreat with oceanfront views of Haystack Rock and the iconic Cape Kiwanda Dune. Completely reimagined in 2025 under Noble House Hotels & Resorts, the property's 35 redesigned rooms and suites blend a modern surf-inspired aesthetic with the laid-back warmth the Oregon Coast is known for.

CF Kent fabricated the custom casegoods and seating throughout the guestrooms — built to hold up to the salt air and the kind of guests who come back every year.

"The design drew inspiration from Oregon coast surf culture: casual, vibrant, and grounded in clean natural wood tones. We wanted guests to feel like they could walk in from an epic session in the waves without a second thought about the sand and salt they brought with them. CF Kent was instrumental in guiding our team through material selection that would hold up to the coastal environment, outlast the next renovation cycle, and stay fully aligned with the design intent. Their attention to detail and commitment to quality materials and hardware resulted in an FFE package that is welcoming, durable, and genuinely true to the spirit of the place." - Matt Vuolo | Design Manager - Associate | EDG Design

Thank you for the kind words Matt. We had fun working on this with you too.
